Earlier this month St. Petersburg College’s Collaborative Labs hosted the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) for the Pinellas Annual Business Growth Conference, held in honor of National Small Business Week.
More than 35 people attended the June 19 gathering. The theme for this year’s conference was How to Grow Your Business. It featured presentations by Kurt Forster, a SBDC Certified Business Analyst, and Kelley Rexford, a business consultant.
President John F. Kennedy issued a proclamation announcing National Small Business Week for the first time in 1963. Kennedy felt it was important to recognize the contributions of entrepreneurs in the United States. Every year since, the U.S. presidents have delivered a proclamation announcing National Small Business Week.
Following the presentations at the Collaborative Labs, SBDC counselors met with participants one-on-one to advise them on different tools and strategies to help participants grow their businesses.
The Collaborative Labs unique and innovative meeting space is available for organizations to host their meetings and events and can be used however desired.
