The St. Petersburg College Baccalaureate programs, University Partnerships program and the Music Industry Recording Arts program teamed up to offer the gift of music this holiday season.
As a fun and festive way to show their appreciation, the Baccalaureate programs and University Partnerships program worked with Mark Matthews, lead instructor for MIRA, and MIRA students to create the jingle. The song was aimed at expressing their gratitude for the leadership and support of Dr. Anne Cooper, Senior VP Instruction and Academic Programs, and Dr. Jesse Coraggio, Associate Vice President of Institutional Effectiveness, Research, and Grants.
The lyrics of the song were created from a joint effort within the department. The traditional carol was arranged by Matthews.
A special thanks goes to the students of the Contemporary Vocal Performance class: Ariel Bullington, Tiger Lin, Chantal Nicksch, Monique Owens, Celicia Parker, and Elaine Graham, led by Professor Sasha Tuck, Rashad “Shadcore” Harrell, Dr. Chuck Jones and Veronica Matthews, for their vocal work in the MIRA Recording Studio.
