Tuition costs rising but not by as much as proposed

St. Petersburg College trustees raised the cost of tuition beginning July 1, but not as much as college administrators had proposed, the Tampa Bay Times reported this week. Trustees noted that if tuition went up by 4.5 percent instead of 5 percent, SPC’s operating budget would stay the same as the previous year.
